MRS. ELLA CYNTHIA. (YOUNG) CANNEY
Ella Cynthia Canney (widow of H. Edsell Canney),
daughter of George W. Young, Barrington, N. H., and
Cynthia E. Moody, Tamworth, N. H. Aged 82 years,
11 months, 18 days.
In July of this present year came the sad news that
Mrs. Canney had passed away after an illness of several
weeks.
Mrs. Canney was born August 10, 1851 in Dover,
N. H., and was the daughter of George W. Young and
Cynthia E. Moody. On June 24, 1880 she married Herman Edcil Canney. For several years the couple lived
in Clarksville, Virginia, coming to Dover, N. H., to make
their home for over forty years.
In 1900 Mr. and Mrs. Canney came to Madbury to
live in the old Paul Chesley home. Here Mrs. Canney
led a quiet, useful life to the present time. She was kind
to neighbors and all who came in contact with her. In
her home she was most efficient and "looked well after
the ways of her household."
Three children survive her — Herman C. Canney, Mabel Canney, and Elmer Canney. (grandfather)
